Gardiner Fire & Security Alarms are accredited and have certification to Design, Install, Commission and Maintain Fire Alarm Systems in accordance with BS: 5839 (fire alarms) and Emergency Lighting (BS: 5266) and LACORS where applicable.
Based in Blackpool we are in a central position to service the whole of the Fylde coast to include;
Being on the Fylde Coast a large proportion of our business is carried out in Hotels, Guest Houses, HMO’s (blocks of flats), Care / Nursing Homes, Holiday Flats and most other types of business and feel we are well placed to offer our expertise in this field and also in most other types of properties which require Fire Alarm Systems.
Fire Safety Law states the responsible person named in your risk assessment for Fire Safety must make arrangements for the maintenance of your Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting Systems.

Minimum Requirements for Fire Alarm Maintenance
In accordance with Fire Safety Law, Fire Alarms & Emergency Lighting must be inspected and tested by a competent Fire Alarm servicing organisation over a 12 month period. Maintenance visits should be no more than six months apart (requiring a minimum of 2 x visits per annum)
Gardiner Fire & Security Alarms can offer a 12 month service only Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting maintenance Contract starting from just £125.00 per annum.

- Full test of all equipment on first visit (to enable full certification)
- 2 x pre-booked maintenance visits per annum
- Test of Emergency Lighting
- Engineers maintenance report each visit
- Certification required by Fire Safety Law
- Priority call out facility
- Free log book
Tests carried out
- Check control panel for correct operation
- Test operation of all manual call points on system (red break glasses)
- Test operation of all smoke and heat detectors on system
- Check stand-by supplies for correct charging voltage
- Check condition of stand-by batteries and label accordingly
- Test of emergency lighting
- Carry out visual inspection
- Clean equipment as required
- Check warning sounders operate & audibility is acceptable
- Check system operates correctly and note any remedial work required
